Insurance and Protection

ThrottleX has not yet finalized its insurance or protection program. No insurance, damage waiver, or protection should be assumed unless it is expressly identified during booking and supported by separate written terms.

ThrottleX policies

Important information for renters and hosts

Review each section carefully before creating a listing, making a reservation, or operating a rental.

01

Coverage is not automatic

Creating an account, publishing a listing, or booking through ThrottleX does not by itself guarantee insurance coverage. Coverage applies only when expressly stated in the booking flow or an applicable policy, certificate, protection agreement, or endorsement.

02

Coverage may be limited

Any future insurance, protection plan, damage waiver, or reimbursement program may include eligibility requirements, deductibles, limits, exclusions, reporting deadlines, geographic restrictions, approved-use requirements, and other conditions.

03

Personal policies may not apply

Renters and hosts should not assume that a personal auto, marine, recreational-vehicle, homeowners, or umbrella policy covers peer-to-peer rental activity. Each user is responsible for confirming coverage directly with the applicable insurer.

04

Host responsibility

Hosts are responsible for maintaining any insurance required by law, contract, lender, marina, storage facility, property owner, or other applicable party and for confirming whether rental or commercial activity is permitted.

05

Renter responsibility

Renters remain responsible for costs not covered by an applicable insurance policy or protection product, including deductibles, exclusions, prohibited-use losses, and other amounts assigned under the booking agreement.

06

Excluded or prohibited activity

Coverage may not apply when a vehicle is operated by an unauthorized person, outside an approved area, while impaired, during racing or commercial use, or in violation of a policy, protection agreement, booking rule, or law.

07

Claims and documentation

Users may be required to report incidents promptly, provide photographs, statements, police or incident reports, maintenance records, repair estimates, and other documentation requested by an insurer or claims administrator.

08

Final insurance review required

All insurance, waiver, protection, claims, deductible, and reimbursement language must be reviewed by qualified insurance professionals and attorneys before ThrottleX begins accepting live reservations.
